Will the assassination of Soleimani lead us into a third world war?   I don't know, but I have been pondering this over the past few days.  The possibility is definitely there.

Let's see what could happen:  1.  The Iranian government decides to bomb some American military sites, perhaps causing a few deaths as collateral damage.  2.  The American government retaliates in the extreme, bombing Iranian cities and cultural sites.  3.  The Iranian government launches an all out war, launching missiles at IIsrael as it has threatened to do.  The U.S. rushes in and attacks Iran with the full force of its military might.  4.  This latest step causes the Russians and Chinese to rush into the Middle East.

There you have it--the start of WWIII.
