Hello everyone my name is Roy Ho. In this blog I'm going to be talking about what I am working towards at the moment. So right now, I have been growing out my hair for the past 5 or so months. The reason for that is because in the next month, I am hoping to get it permed. If you do not know what that means it is pretty much curling your hair. The people at a salon or wherever you choose to get your perm will wrap individual sections of your hair into rods, depending on how tight you want the curls. They they break down the chemical properties of your hair and add solutions, etc. into it. It breaks down those chemical bonds and curls the hair permanently until new hair from the root of your head starts growing out, as perming your hair does not change genetics. I am hoping to perm my hair during Spring break, which is next month for my school, and yeah, that is my blog.

Very interesting information, Roy. Can I ask what influenced you to embark on this "hair transformation?' Is permed hair a growing trend among kids at school? Among guys only? Were there any cultural influences? Please reflect and educate us!

I feel like its definitely been a popular trend among guys lately, especially among Asian guys since most of our hairs are very straight and spikey, so a lot of us want to try something different and ...Read more perm our hair. There weren't any cultural influences to this, but the reason I wanted to grow out my hair as long as I can to perm it was because over the summer, I made a bad decision to buzz my hair, and I didn't like it at all. So because of that, I wanted to grow out my hair and get curls because I realized my hair is way to straight and spikey Less
