My Passion for Computer Science

Ever since 7th grade, when I took my first steps towards the vast field of Computer Science, I have felt a perpetual desire to continue learning and innovating with it. I often hear people say, "You're never getting into C.S." or "Wow! Another Asian going into C.S.". Many people have said negative things to me, but my love for the subject never wavered based on these comments.

I feel that my love for C.S. comes from the fact that I see myself making an influence in my society. It is something that I can see myself doing in the future and I welcome every obstacle it throws at me.

Aside from my personal desire to go into Computer Science, the field is very stable and continues to grow, creating so many job opportunities. Someone told me, "The millionth best computer scientist will be better off than the millionth best dancer". Though this remark may seem like other professions aren't stable, I feel it shines more light on one of the pros of C.S.

It is a long journey full of ups and downs to reach my goal, but when it all comes together in the end, it will feel like my hard work paid off. Though going into computer science is a difficult task, I feel if I stay persistent things will work out.

To expand my knowledge of the field, I enjoy working on the project of my own. My favorite project is an app that helps my peers. it has garnered 1000+ users and continues to grow my love for the field. I look forward to doing research with a professor to further my knowledge.

Overall, I feel that if I continue to do the thing I know and love while staying persistent, I can reach my goals and be happy in life.
