How Corona affected my life

The coronavirus has affected my life in many ways, both positively and negatively. To start off with the negative impacts, the whole “social distancing” idea that everyone has been promoting has been arguably the most negative thing I've experienced in my life. I do not get to leave the house very often and exercise or see my friends, unless it is virtually in a video game or on my phone. Another negative effect is that due to me staying home all the time, I have been on an eating spree, consuming close to anything I please, which is certainly not good for my health. However, as contradictory as it sounds, the coronavirus has also had its positive effects on my life. To start off, I have gotten a tremendous amount of sleep over these last couple of weeks, often sleeping 11 or more hours everyday and napping, compared to the 5 or 6 hours I used to get when there was still in-person school. Prior to the whole coronavirus quarantine event, I found myself connecting or bonding with my family very rarely; however, now that I am literally stuck at home, I find myself rebuilding those relationships and bonding once more with my family members. Lastly, generally speaking, places all over the world have been experiencing positive effects when it comes to nature and the environment. For example, there is less pollution in the air and water, such as in China, where now you can see clearer skies and water. Although the coronavirus may have many negative effects, we must turn to the positive ones and look into the light during these times. Many see the coronavirus quarantine as unpleasant and mind-boggling. I see it as a way to catch up on sleep that I know everyone needs catching up on, reconnect with one’s family, and let Mother Nature replenish all the damage that has been done to her over the last dozen years.
