Bad But Good

One of the most influential adults in my life is my AP Physics 1 teacher. She has a unique influence on me, as she is not the best teacher that I've had. In fact, she is a pretty bad teacher who includes uncovered concepts in tests, saying that they have been taught in class. These negative features improved two necessary working skills of mine.
First of all, she improved my ability to focus. Before my sophomore year in high school, I procrastinated a lot, as I did not see the need to work hard to keep up with school work. With the unexpected concepts in tests, my studying habits and time management have reached a fair amount of progress. this has allowed me to sleep more and get through homework for other classes faster as well.
Also, my ability to work with others improved. My physics teacher assigns challenging labs in groups, which is necessary due to frequent mistakes during labs. I learned to work in an efficient manner, where everyone does their part to execute the lab as best as possible. Also, my friends and I often study in groups after school in order to overcome these overly challenging tests. By helping each other with challenging concepts, I learned why working as a group is so important and how to play a proper role in a group.
So, my physics teacher fortuitously and indirectly became one of the biggest influences in my life. Without her class, my work habits probably would have taken much longer to improve, especially as much as it has this school year.
