A perticular moment in Baseball that I witnessed

In the spring of 2014, on a bright and sunny day, the Giants were having a match. Six years have passed and I now decide to write about it. It was a simple game, but had a profound effect. Though I quickly realized that I dislike baseball, however, it motivated me to watch sports games with more interest than before. I do not remember all the details, but one moment struck with me forever.

In the ninth inning, the Giants were losing by a point but they were batting. One strike, two strikes, then a hit. The ball contacted the batter and flew into the outer fields. Quickly the outfield catcher or the Dodger ran up to the ball. The crowd was tense, will the person catch it or flop. My eyes were focused on him.

I saw the ball fly, it seemed that it was just going to be out of reach, then he caught it, and out for the Giants. The nest batter swung and ran to first base. Then another, but that person got tagged out and the former reached second base. How it was up to the fourth batter to hit a ball so that the 2nd batter can score a point or get into third. The stakes were high. At long last, the fourth batter stepped up to the base.

I believe it was a win or lose situation, if the batter hit a ball the team could win, otherwise they will lose. The first ball was thrown, a good ball. The batter swung and missed. The second ball was thrown, it made contact, but it resulted in a foul. No good. I could feel the suspense in the air, the majority of the folks in the stadium were Giants fans, they wanted the Giants to win. Finally the ball of the bat made contact and made a beautiful sound. I could tell that the batter had hit it very well. The ball flew out and up and over to the outer fields, it was approaching the wall. One outfielder was running as fast as they could. It became apparent that the ball was going to clear the wall. It did.

The stadium erupted into cheers, never had I thought I was going to witness such a spectacular event. It was amazing and awing. I now saw why people were into watching the games, not only it was a way to support their community, but also the excitingness of the game, the unpredictable and the unforeseen. Later I watched many sports and settled on watching basketball, golf and the olympics whenever I could.
