The Loma Prieta Chapter of the Sierra Club is offering an exciting course on how to protect ecosystems—in this case, San Francisco Bay, a national treasure that is under siege.

If you have been thinking about taking action to protect nature and have also been worried about the devastating consequences of climate change, this is the course for you.

By participating in an effort to protect San Francisco Bay’s wetlands, you will be saving a vibrant habitat for wildlife AND you will be helping to preserve and restore wetlands, which are a natural buffer against sea level rise.

This is a once-a-week course that starts on July 13th and ends on October 12th that will enable you to learn a lot about the ecology of baylands and how to be an effective champion of important environmental causes.

If you want to acquire scientific knowledge about bay ecosystems, learn skills that will enable you to create a better world, and meet others who share your passion, this will be a promising start.
